Meizu X8 Joins Apple’s Trendy NOTCH Cult with 6.2 inch FHD+ Display, Snapdragon 710

Meizu Technology Co., Ltd. is a Chinese electronics company that manufactured MP3 players and later MP4 players. It was in 2008 that MEIZU shifted its focus on the smartphones. It is the 11th largest smartphone manufacturer in the world and it sells millions of units per year. On April 2007, the first smartphone Meizu M8 was officially released. It was praised for its high sound quality. On January 1st, 2011, Meizu M9 was released, their first smartphone based on the Android operating system. Meizu 15 series was released by the company not only as a product but to mark and celebrate their 15th anniversary. And they have added another new Android smartphone to their series list, the Meizu X8.

The handset is equipped with a 6.2 inch display that features a FHD+ resolution of 2220 x 1080 pixels. The Meizu X8 is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor and it comes with a choice of 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage or 6GB of RAM and 64GB or 128GB of storage.

The handset is equipped with front and rear cameras, on the front of the device there is a 20 megapixel camera for selfies and on the back there is a dual camera setup. The dual cameras on the back of the handset are made up of two 12 megapixel cameras. The device comes with Android Oreo and Flyme OS, the handset features a 3210 mAh battery. Prices for the new Meizu X8 start at $230 for the 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage model.

The Meizu X8 brings a decent Li-Po battery which will power this smartphone throughout the day. This is a 4G VoLTE supported devices with two slots for nano sim, so all networks should work without issue. Additional connectivity features include WiFi, NFC and A-GPS, Bluetooth 5, assisted location support.
