Pre-Requisite

  • For successful completion of this repairing/unbricking process charge your phone up to a minimum of 75% battery.
  • You must take a back-up of all your personnel items and other impotent data, such as Call Logs, SMS, Contacts, Audios, Images, Videos, APN (Access Point Names) settings, Bookmarks, MMS settings, on your phone.
  • One must install a custom recovery image particularly for his Android device. To do this, ClockworkMod Recovery should be downloaded using the Internet.
  • If you have not, then you must unlock your Android device’s Bootloader.
  • You must enable USB Debugging mode on your LG Optimus S. Just follow, Settings Applications Development USB debugging. There select the USB Debugging icon.

Steps for repairing/unbricking LG Optimus S

Step 1

Firstly enter into the Emergency Mode. For this connect your phone with the PC and just press the Down Volume button, Search button, & Camera button simultaneously, and while pressing these buttons press down your Power at the same time.

When you’ll view Emergency Mode written on your display screen with Red letters, disconnect your phone through all sources.

Step 3

Now, download kp500 utils.zip and VC cab.zip files to your computer.

Step 4

In the extracted folder of the above downloaded zip files, run the KP500-Utils-EN.exe application.

Step 5

Just wait for some time until your phones says do not remove/disconnect your Power.

Step 6

When you see this, remove the battery or other power resources and then plug it back.

Step 7

After the completion of this process, you should select the “reboot system now” option to restart your device, and then reboot it in the Normal Mode.

Step 8

After this, you’ll have an unbricked LG Optimus S.
