Pre-Requisite:

How to Root Samsung Galaxy Y Duos Lite S5302The Rooting Procedure:

  • The first step is to download the root package for your device called the update.ZIP. Though this can be found easily on the internet anywhere but still a link for the same is provided here:
  • Now, copy this package to the root directory of your Phone’s SD card. Make sure you can easily find the package on your SD card as you will need it later.
  • Now, power down your phone and boot in into the recovery mode, in order to do so, press and hold the Volume Down and the Home buttons while you power up your phone using the power button. You will soon enter the recovery mode when the device logo appears, you can release them.
  • While in recovery mode, the touch for your device will not respond. So you need to use the volume rocker for navigation and home button for selections.
  • Select the ‘install ZIP from SD card’ option in your recovery menu.
  • Next, select the ‘choose ZIP from SD card’ option.
  • Browse through the SD card directory and choose the update.ZIP file that you had downloaded earlier.
  • Confirm this action in the next screen.
  • Now, the process will start. Do not interfere with the process and wait for it to be completed successfully.
  • Once the process is complete, your phone will be rooted.
  • Select the ‘Reboot system now’ option and your phone will be rebooted and completely rooted.
