- For successful completion of this process charge your tablet up to a minimum of 75% battery.
- You must take a back-up of all your personnel items and other impotent data, such as Call Logs, SMS, Contacts, Audios, Images, Videos, APN (Access Point Names) settings, Bookmarks, MMS settings, on your tablet.
- If you have not, then you must unlock your Android device’s Bootloader.

Next, download an Superuser.zip file to your computer.
Now, connect your Asus Google Nexus 7 tablet to a computer and then copy the above downloaded file “Superuser.zip” in a folder named as “root” under your SD Card. Don’t run or try to open this file, just copy it in the folder.
After transferring this file, switch off your tablet to enter into HBOOT.

a) Shut down or power down your tablet.
b) When it is completely OFF, first take out the battery and then again place it in the tablet. Now, press the Down button of volume as well as Power button of tablet simultaneously, and when your tablet powers up then only release them.
c) Now you have the Bootloader screen on your tablet, and will view HBOOT in blue color and when lower down you must see Recovery, Fastboot, etc. After this, using the up/down keys for volume, select the ‘Fastboot’ option and then press down the Power button of your tablet. This makes the tablet to start as normal.

Now click on RECOVERY option in FASTBOOT menu to enter into the Recovery Mode.
